Manage your sales
Start, pause and end selling a book that is already published.
4 steps
Open a published book from your Studio list. A Sale panel shows a badge with one of four states:
- On sale — readers can buy it right now.
- Not started yet — you set a start date and it has not arrived. The book is visible but cannot be bought.
- Sale ended — the end date has passed and selling stopped by itself.
- Sale stopped — you stopped it by hand.
If a book you expected to be selling is not, this badge tells you why in one glance.
In the same panel, set Sale Start and Sale End, then click Save dates.
- Leave the start empty to sell straight away.
- Leave the end empty to keep selling with no cut-off.
- The end must be later than the start.
Click Stop sale and confirm. The book comes off the shop and no new copies can be bought.
Readers who already bought it keep their copy and can keep reading. Stopping a sale never takes a book away from someone who paid for it.
If the book has a price, your wallet will ask you to approve the change.
Click Resume sale and confirm. The book goes back on the shop.
If you get "Extend the sale end date before resuming", it means the end date you set is already in the past — resuming into a window that has closed would do nothing. Put a future date in Sale End, click Save dates, then resume.
