Waiting for review, and the button you must press to go live.

4 steps

Every book in your Studio list carries a status. Here is what each one means and what it wants from you.

  • Draft — only you can see it. Not sent anywhere. Open it and press Submit for Review when it is ready. Your move.
  • Pending — sent in, queued for our team. You can still edit it. Nothing to do.
  • In Review — someone is reading it right now. Nothing to do.
  • Approved — accepted. The Publish button is now waiting for you. Your move — see below.
  • Rejected — something needs changing, and the reason is written on the book. Your move.
  • Published — live. Readers can find it and buy it. Done.
Important:Approved does not mean published. This is the step publishers miss most often — a book sits at Approved for a week while everyone assumes it is on sale. After approval you must press Publish yourself.

Open the book from your Studio list. The reason our team gave is written there — most often a missing or too-short description, a low-quality cover, or book details that do not match the ISBN.

Fix the thing that was mentioned and submit again. You do not start over: everything else you entered is still in place.

  1. Go to Studio. An approved book has a Publish button in its row.
  2. Click it. A window asks you to confirm: "Publish this book?"
  3. Confirm. Your wallet then opens one or more approval windows. Click the approve button in each one — there may be two or three in a row, and that is normal.
  4. Wait a few seconds without closing the page. The status changes to Published.

Your book is now in the shop. If you set a start date, it shows as not yet on sale until that date arrives.

Important:Publishing cannot be undone. If you later need to take the book off the market, you stop the sale instead — see Stop selling a book.

Sometimes an approval window gets closed by accident, or the connection drops. You will see an error message, and the book stays at Approved.

Simply press Publish again. This is safe. The steps that already went through are not repeated, and your book will not be registered twice — no matter how many times you retry.

If it fails a second time with the same message, copy that message word for word and send it to [email protected] along with the book title.
